Ingredients

  • Turkey breast (3-4 lbs)
  • Apple cider (2 cups)
  • Butter (4 tbsp)
  • Brown sugar (1/4 cup)
  • Apple cider vinegar (2 tbsp)
  • Dijon mustard (1 tbsp)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Cinnamon (1/2 tsp)
  • Cloves (1/4 tsp, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Sear the turkey on all sides until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer the turkey breast to a roasting pan and pour in 1 cup of apple cider.
  4. In a saucepan, combine the remaining apple cider, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic, cinnamon, and cloves. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened into a glaze.
  5. Brush the turkey with the glaze and roast for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 15 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Let the turkey rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.
