  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 box (15 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine yellow cake mix, milk, and melted butter until just mixed.
  4. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared dish. Layer half of the strawberries on top. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries and finish with the remaining batter and strawberries.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow cooling for at least 15 minutes before serving.
