  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 3/4 cups white flour
  • 1/4 cup dark cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 oz cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (at room temperature)
  • 12 tbsp peanut butter (to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • chopped peanut butter cups

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by heating milk, oil, and sugar until warm; sprinkle yeast and let it sit.
  2. Combine the activated yeast mixture with flour and cocoa powder; allow to rise for about an hour.
  3. Knead in salt, baking powder, and soda; let rise again for at least 6 hours.
  4. Roll out the dough, spread peanut butter, add sugar and chocolate chips; roll into logs.
  5. Cut into slices and place in a greased pan; let rise again before baking at 375°F for 15–18 minutes.
  6. Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  7. Frost cooled rolls and enjoy!
