Instructions

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Gradually mix in the flour and salt until combined, then press into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake for about 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. While the base is baking, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, baking powder, lemon juice, zest, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Pour the lemon filling over the baked base and return it to the oven for an additional 30 minutes until set.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
