  5. Combine ingredients: Add figs, pectin, and lemon juice to the strained wine; bring to a rolling boil.
  6. Add sugar: Gradually stir in sugar; return to a rolling boil for one minute.
  7. Fill jars: Ladle hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace.
  8. Process jars: Place filled jars back into boiling water for 10 minutes (adjust for altitude).
  9. Cool down: Let jars sit in hot water for an additional five minutes before removing.
  10. Check seals: Ensure lids are tight after cooling.
