  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf; place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Make slashes on top of the loaf and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool before slicing and serving.
