  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup tamari soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 6 garlic cloves (minced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  2. Prepare the sauce by whisking together honey, tamari soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic in a separate bowl.
  3. Rub the spice mixture over the beef tenderloins thoroughly.
  4. In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the seasoned beef until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the beef and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Roast for 15-20 minutes until an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C) is reached.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Simmer remaining sauce on medium heat until slightly thickened.
