  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl; rub onto chicken.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until browned.
  4. Lower heat; add butter to the skillet and sauté garlic and jalapeños until aromatic. Stir in cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  5. Pour in chicken broth; return chicken to skillet and nestle into the sauce.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese; transfer skillet to oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
