  • 18 grams orange zest
  • 105 grams granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 115 grams melted butter
  • 180 grams fresh orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare an 8½ x 4½ inch loaf pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour and baking powder until well combined, then set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine sugar and orange zest by rubbing them together until fragrant.
  4. Add eggs to the sugar mixture and whisk until blended. Then incorporate melted butter followed by fresh orange juice.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined—avoid overmixing.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 35-38 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
