  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 oz dark chocolate (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in the microwave until almost completely liquid.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and sea salt.
  3. In a mixer, combine melted butter and sugars until creamy. Add orange zest and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mix until combined.
  6. Fold in chopped chocolate and chill dough for at least 2 hours.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop dough onto prepared sheets and sprinkle with sea salt.
  9. Bake for 11-13 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  10. Cool on pans for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
