  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened butter in a stand mixer until fluffy.
  2. Add powdered sugar, pudding mix, and flour; mix until combined.
  3. Incorporate almond extract and optional food coloring if desired.
  4. Finely chop maraschino cherries and pat them dry; fold gently into the dough without overmixing.
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls and place on the prepared cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes until lightly golden; allow cooling before serving.
