  • 1 lb Jumbo Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + lemon juice)
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch (or potato/tapioca starch)
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp sriracha

Instructions

  1. Marinate shrimp in buttermilk for 10 minutes to tenderize.
  2. Mix the bang bang sauce ingredients in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Combine cornstarch, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper in another bowl.
  4. Dredge the marinated shrimp in the cornstarch mixture until fully coated.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until it reaches 350°F. Fry shrimp in batches for about 1.5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Drain excess oil on paper towels and toss with the bang bang sauce before serving.
