  • 1 cup salted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 10 ounces soft caramels
  • Flaked sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with foil and coat with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, salt, and baking soda; mix well. Gradually stir in flour followed by chocolate chips.
  3. Press three-quarters of dough into the prepared pan.
  4. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt sweetened condensed milk with caramels until smooth.
  5. Pour three-quarters of the caramel over the dough base. Drop spoonfuls of remaining dough on top.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown around edges.
  7. Sprinkle flaked sea salt on top after baking and allow to cool before cutting.
