  • 1 cup milk (or milk alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1/2 cup hot water (176°F/80°C)
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk (to taste)
  • 1 cup diced strawberries
  • 1 cup coconut jelly

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add sago and cook for about 15 minutes until mostly transparent. Remove from heat and let sit covered for another 10-15 minutes.
  2. Strain cooked sago in a sieve and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.
  3. Whisk matcha powder with hot water until frothy, then stir in chosen milk.
  4. Drain sago and mix with evaporated milk, condensed milk, matcha milk, diced strawberries, and coconut jelly.
  5. Divide the mixture into individual cups or bowls and enjoy immediately.
