  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 cups coarsely chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8-inch square pan with aluminum foil. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl; then combine it with flour, oats, both sugars, and optional salt until sandy.
  3. Set aside one heaping cup of the mixture for topping. Pack the remaining mixture firmly into the prepared pan to form the crust.
  4. Toss chopped strawberries with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch; layer over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle reserved crumble on top and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
