  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup mashed banana (about 1 medium banana)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 oz white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until it turns light brown and smells nutty. Allow to cool for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cooled brown butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
  3. Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Mash the banana with lemon juice in a separate bowl and add to the mixture.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in white chocolate chips.
  7. Chill dough balls on a lined baking sheet for at least one hour.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
