  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together butter, oil, granulated sugar, and confectioners' sugar. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.
  5. Roll the chilled dough into tablespoon-sized balls and coat each ball with sprinkles before placing them on prepared cookie sheets with spacing in between.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are slightly browned. Let cool on sheets for two minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
