  • 12 pieces homemade or store-bought dumplings/wontons
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp water or broth
  • 1 tbsp doubanjiang
  • 1/2 tbsp chili oil
  • 23 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp Chinese black vinegar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • Chopped scallions and coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, water or broth, doubanjiang, chili oil, sugar, black vinegar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and garlic in a bowl. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  2. Steam dumplings in a bamboo steamer for 12-15 minutes or boil in water for about 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  3. Serve dumplings with the prepared sauce for dipping or drizzle over them. Garnish with scallions and coriander.
